Publication Ethics & Policies

All authors are required to disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be viewed as influencing their work. A statement of conflicts of interest (or a declaration of no conflict) must be included in every manuscript. Editors and reviewers must also declare potential conflicts and, if necessary, withdraw from handling the manuscript.

Disclosure Requirement:

  • Funding sources and grant numbers must be acknowledged.

  • Any affiliations or consultancies with organizations that could be affected by the published work should be declared.

  • Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in rejection, correction, or retraction of the article.

2. Human and Animal Rights Policy

Research involving humans or animals must comply with international ethical standards. Authors must:

  • Confirm that all human studies followed the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (2013 revision).

  • Provide evidence of approval from an appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee.

  • For animal research, confirm adherence to recognized guidelines such as the ARRIVE guidelines and institutional/national regulations on animal welfare.

The journal reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet ethical standards or to request additional documentation of ethical approval.

3. Informed Consent Policy

For studies involving human participants:

  • Authors must obtain written informed consent for participation, data collection, and publication.

  • In the case of minors, consent must be obtained from a parent or legal guardian.

  • When publishing photographs, case reports, or personal information, explicit consent for publication must be documented.

  • All informed consent statements should be clearly mentioned in the manuscript under the “Ethical Approval and Consent to Participate” section.

    Data Sharing Policy

The Global Journal of Universal Studies (GJUS) encourages transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in research. Authors are required to make the data supporting their findings available either within the manuscript, as supplementary files, or in a recognized public repository. A Data Availability Statement must be included in all submitted manuscripts, clearly describing where and how the data can be accessed, or providing a justified reason if data cannot be shared (e.g., due to ethical, legal, or privacy restrictions). Authors are responsible for ensuring that shared data is accurate, properly documented, and does not violate confidentiality or copyright laws.
